Yoga Classes

Schedule

I offer weekly classes during Tasmania’s school terms, and occasional Saturday morning sessions.

My classes include awareness cultivation, breath practices, mantra (chanting), mudra (hand gestures) and asana (physical postures), based on a theme or heart quality from yoga philosophy.

Some prior yoga experience is assumed, but not essential.

Wednesdays 6:15-7:45am

A dynamic morning session, with options to work more actively or gently depending on your needs. Limited casual places, contact me to reserve your spot.

Thursdays 7:30-8:45pm

A well-rounded evening session to improve strength and flexibility, finishing with relaxation and restoratives. Term places full, contact me to join the casual waitlist.

Available places are prioritised for students who commit to the whole term. Casual attendance is $25 per session, contact me to enquire or reserve your spot.

Monthly Saturday sessions
8:00-9:30am

A nurturing, grounding and invigorating practice to start your weekend. Bookings are essential, reserve your place at the link on the class date. Attendance $25 per session.

Saturday dates for 2024

New to yoga? Returning to practice after a break, illness or injury? Contact me to find out how I can support you. If my sessions aren’t right for your needs, I’ll warmly refer you to a suitable teacher in my network.

As for the body, it is solid and strong and curious and full of detail: It wants to polish itself, it wants to love another body.

Jo’s classes are inspiring and energising. Her guidance and instruction style is clear, thorough, and imbued with warmth and humour. Her teaching has brought me a much greater physical and emotional awareness, as well as a deeper knowledge of how my body aligns and functions.

Jo’s class has marked the start to my Wednesday mornings for many years. Perhaps it is the unique theme that Jo introduces for each class or the experience of practising as night flows into day that I find uplifting. And yet by simply moving my limbs and focusing my mind, I depart each class feeling subtly altered and intrinsically grounded.
